"Saturday at the Turf Club will be one of those shows to bring up some day far out in the future—remember the time Birthday Suits played with Blind Shake and Stnnng and Gay Witch Abortion? Each group rocks hard enough on their own to headline Turf Club shows, including some month-long residences. But hey, what good is a thriving local music scene if you don’t get the occasional evening where some of the best bands in the upper midwest pack on to an incredible bill?"
"If you want to make sure your 2012 gets off to a raucous start, make sure you catch this performance by the high-octane Birthday Suits. The fiery local duo bring their blistering, breathless garage-rock sound to the familiar confines of the Turf Club, a venue that has seen some memorable, wildly energetic performances from them over the years. This gig shouldn’t be any different, especially with fellow boisterous Twin Cities bands Blind Shake, STNNNG, and Gay Witch Abortion opening the night with their own particular brands of rowdy rock ‘n’ roll. For those who worry that unruly guitar rock has lately taken a back seat to a more mellow, introspective sound, this sure to be riotous show should allay all of your fears as well as shake the very foundations of the venerable St. Paul club."

"Birthday Suits didn’t get here by cannibalism. No folks they got here by living in a van down by the river and living in a van and then living in a van again. Every time I wake up and walk down to the corner to grab a cup of coffee, this band is back in Seattle on-tour. I commend them, whatever vehicle they use to circumvent the earth and whatever is missing them back in Minneapolis. Who said that a two-piece can’t do what four-piece rock outfits can? Psshhhh. Now is not the time for Local H jokes, we’re in a war-zone soldier. If you like the Cops, the Blind Shake or any guitar driven rock with a danceable groove, this is your band."
